T.Siva’s Amma Creations produces the sequel that is directed by Sakthi Chidambaram.
After a year of sequels comes this film this year that has nothing in relation to the characters of its predecessor. The story is an absolute mess and so is the drab screenplay. The loud characters with meaningless dialogues and emptiness in their heads make the viewing of the film a thorough pain. In the name of slapstick comedy the makers have delivered an insensitive insensible movie.
Prabhu Deva looks good in what he is good, otherwise he looks jaded, Nikki Galrani is the one who brings about some spark in the film. Prabhu clearly had other reasons to take up this film. The others make up the number of people in the movie.
Cinematographer Soundarajan does a very functional job. Amresh Ganesh is the highlight of the film providing the much needed entertainment through hi songs. Dialogues are bland. Editor has very little to work with while direction by Sakthi Chidambaram despite being a veteran is below average.
CHARLIE CHAPLIN 2 holds the distinction for being the first in the list of the bad movies of 2019.
