Brindavanam Movie Review

The audience is familiar with Radha Mohan brand of movies, the lack of villain, the lack of evil, a little despair but mostly pleasantness. Radha Mohan has been very successful at it.

Brindavanam belongs to the same genre, the feel good factor just spreads through the entire length of the movie. The script focusses on speech impairment but not in a melodramatic way like most would and keeps it gentle with a lot of humour and wit. There are moments of dejavu from his earlier movies and the lack of freshness in execution could be a complaint. The romance portion of the lead pair lacks depth and is very flaky.

Arulnithi is improving by leaps and bounds and is quite good as the lead, Vivek after a long break is good and entertains in his typical style. Tanya as Arul’s love interest does a good job and appears very normal. MS Bhaskar fits in perfectly in his one of many usual roles he has performed before.

Vivekanand is the cinematographer and provides with pleasant visuals, music is by Vishal Chandrashekar and is average unfortunately. TS Suresh as the editor could have worked on a few scenes. Dialogues are good with some carrying good wit while direction by Radha Mohan is standard.

Brindavanam as the title suggests is quite decent but is largely saved by wit and humour in an otherwise very staid film.

BRINDAVANAM – RASIKALAM!!
