BONGU MOVIE REVIEW

Natty has a decent opening and reputation in Kollywood for his kind of films. Sathuranga Vettai was a huge hit and Natty was critically welcomed.

Bongu is written and directed by Taj who has managed to rope in Natty for a script that is based on car jacking. The script is new to Kollywood but has been over used in Hollywood. Unfortunately though the premise is a decent one the movie falls flat right from the word go. There is absolutely no logic and reasoning and the movie takes a U turn right from the beginning and ends up completely damaged.

Natty is the saving grace of the film and still he cannot save this movie from falling. The others in the form of Ruhi, Sharath and Mayilsamy go about their chores in a totally insipid script. Wonder what an actor in the caliber of Atul was doing in this junk movie.

The music is an ear sore and the background is horrible to say the least. Srikanth Deva literally punctures the ears of the viewers. Cinematography by Karthick Srinivasan is very rudimentary and below average. Editing Gopi Krishna does not help either. Dialogues are average while direction is sub standard.

Taj is reputed to be an assistant to Sabu Cyril. He should seriously consider going back.
