Harshini movies produce this remake of a famous malayalam movie that goes by the same name.Mamooty plays the protagonist there which was hugely successful.
BOR has a decent story line but in the original the comedy was entertaining but here in the remake it suffers. The small plots within the movie do not fit in well and there are a lot of ambiguities as in the original. In the original it was cleverly camouflaged with the setting and environment .
Arvind Swami has done his bit though it would be unfair to compare him with the veteran. Amala Paul is quite good in her role which is not configured well. Robo Shankar and Ramesh Khanna try their best in the comedy department.
Vijay Ulaganath as the cinematographer is average behind the camera, Amresh Ganesh the musc director perform below par in the music department. Gowrishanker as the editor could have worked more. Dialogues are OK while direction by Siddique is standard.
Bhaskar Oru Rascal tries to emulate the original but falters.
