Bayam Oru Payanam Movie Review

Bayam Oru Payanam Movie ReviewThe trend of horror movies reigns unabated in Tamil cinema and now the movement looks three decades old. The only difference in BOP is that this movie is not a comedy+horror and is advertised as a purely horror movie.

The story is non-existent, the script is tawdry and the screenplay is a huge yawn. BOP is a shoddy movie on all counts and even a half convincing flash back towards the climax fails to save the movie. The characters come and disappear as they wish like the ghosts and the hero as a hero is undefined. The jump scares hardly strike fear and the novelty attempted is very weak to make an impression.

The actors are very basic and Bharat as the hero who is a professional cardiologist keeps us safe from the scare shocks.  Wonder why a veteran like Urvashi agreed to such a silly script. Even John Vijay plays a caricature role that hardly impresses.

The cinematography and the music is the routine that is expected out of a horror movie. The direction is decent in patches and the editing barely manages.

On the whole Bayama oru Payanam is one tiresome journey that you can choose to avoid
