This complicated movie title is the launch pad for Thambi Ramaiah’s son Umapathy and is helmed by Inbasekar.
Inbasekar tries too many things in one movie and fails because of it. The movie lacks freshness and reminds us of many movies that have been the typical “Launch template” for many wannabes. The usual silly formulae used do not work at all and most of the time the viewer is taken for granted resulting in weariness.
Umapathy looks a gifted dancer and is OK in action scenes too. So it looks like he has decent chance in Kollywood. Resha Rathore is his love interest and does what is expected of her. Karunakaran manages to bring out some laughs though the scenes are nothing new. Others just make up the numbers.
Cinematography is OK while it is Iman behind the scene who turns out to be the winner with his fine background score and his very good Imanesque music. Editing needed a lot of attention while the dialogues passes muster. Direction is found wanting in many places.
Adhagappattathu Magajanangalay could be the reason why we saw Thambi Ramaiah in so many movies but he should have selected a better team to launch his son.
