Task Master – the very first reality game show for the people in the format that was devoured by all hosted by Grand Square, Chennai in association with Social Media Doode. One of its kind with 15 participants for 12 hours in one house. The event received a whopping 12,000+ applications to be participants out of which ten people were selected at Random followed by 5 direct entry contestants. The event was hosted by Vijay TV’s Kalakapovathu Yaaru fame, Ansar.
Participants giggled, laughed and participated enthusiastically through the 12 hours. With a task at each hour, an elimination after each round, the competition got better and better. From charades to eating Pani Puri, from fitness regimes to dance, each participant gave their best to become the winner of the first edition of the task master. Actor and comedian, Sendrayan graced the occasion with his fun energy and encouraged the participants. The winners were awarded with one lakh
Speaking on the event, Mr. Zarook, organiser, Grand Square said “It’s a one of a kind event, and the format is such that everyone will enjoy it. The point was to bring a game show feel to general public and we were successful on that party, and that makes me happy. It created a lot of hype and was uber viral. It had a good reach and we always look forward to hosting new and challenging events, and the success of this event, encourages us to do more”.
