‘Once Upon A Time’, by Kingsley, was an event that celebrated childhood, with the coming together of their brands – Kanakavalli and Ahalya – for a special exhibit. It was an evening of stories, origami and fun for kids aged 7-12.
The event marked the launch of Sugar and Spice, a beautiful collection of kanjivaram pattu pavadai fabric lengths from Kanakavalli and jewellery for little girls handcrafted by Ahalya.
Renowned storyteller, Sandhya Ruban traced stories about weaving from varied cultures through an interactive and educational session and Latha Subramaniam introduced the children to the magic of Storigami – the art of weaving stories while learning origami folding.
On display were Gorgeous pattu pavadais for little girls up to the age of 8, featuring unusual palettes and pretty borders, as well as a magical collection of jewellery replete with delicate floral detail, baby jhumkis with pearl drops, hints of rubies and more.
