Body Power (U.K.) Ltd & Haoma Fitness Pvt Ltd, India announces their ‘partnership’ in the Wellness industry in India relating to fitness.
Haoma has been awarded the ‘Master License’ in India for Body Power’s premium format – BODY POWER PLATINUM GYM that aims to provide an all-comprehensive fitness-training regime for overall well being rather than just weight loss alone. The training program includes cardio-vascular & weight, functional training (outdoor & indoor), sports nutrition advice, transformation package amongst others. The sessions are designed on a one-to-one basis between the trainer and trainee. Inculcating the latest equipment including Synergy 360, Jacob’s ladder, altitude training, locational extendable memberships etc. The Company’s “app”would have unique features like “Pay as you Use’, “Book your trainers”.
Haoma would be launching its first, flagship format in Chennai.
This would be followed by multiple formats pan India. The expansion would be on a Franchise (COCO, FOFO, FOCO) & JV basis. Haoma’s goal is to establish 28 formats in 30months. Supporting the formats, a training academy for certified trainers is also on the cards.
Haoma initially plans to invest around Rs 22 crores in the business in the initial 3 to 4 years.
According to a KPMG / FICCI survey, the business of Wellness in India is projected at Rs 80,370 crores by 2018. It would continue to grow at a CAGR of 23%. Sectorial segmentation reveal that 48% is the Fitness & Slimming market. Even with these statistics, the market is grossly under-penetrated. India, with a predominantly ‘young’ population, rural penetration and increasing disposal incomes hold a very promising market.
