Palam Silks Unveils Its Latest Diwali Collections

Diwali CollectionsSri Palam Silk Sarees unveiled their latest line up of concept sarees for the upcoming festive season. In their event, Light Up 2016, held at a popular café in the city, Palam showcased three innovative concept collections – High Rise, Double Delight and Blend’n Trend 2, representing the latest trends in the world of silks. The saree brand also presented their unique collection for Diwali, Light Up 2016.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Jeyasree Ravi, owner of Palam Silks said, “It is with great pleasure that we launch our collections for the upcoming festive occasion of Diwali. In our event Light Up 2016, we present three varied concept collections, which further strengthen our commitment to making innovative and trendy sarees in silk.”

The event commenced with the most awaited collection for the upcoming festive season, Light Up 2016. The collection comprised stripes, thread borders and decorative patterns in varying shades. Like the festival itself, the collection was an assortment of bright colours and designs, lighting up the event.

Next in line were the three concept saree collections; like every year, Palam marks Diwali with the unveiling of their unique concept sarees.  First up, the Double Delights, a collection specially designed for those who love borders. All the sarees in this collection have two borders, the usual designs that adorn the edge of the sarees in beautiful patterns, crowned with an abstract patterned, fluid border on top of it.
Adding to the list of innovations was the High Rise Collection, specially designed to make petite women appear tall. The borders of the saree are placed in such a way that it makes the wearer look taller than usual.

Rounding up the display and following up on the success of the Blend’n Trend Collection last year was Blend’n Trend 2. The collection presented an interesting combination of fibres such as pure silk, cotton, linen and jute, rarely seen before in silks. Adding to the uniqueness of the collection, the pallu has more than 10 different textures, each texture woven with a different yarn. The second coming of this collection focuses on adding more oomph to the silks and makes them suitable for party wear. The sarees in this concept have been weaved based on paintings by Ms. Sunita Palam, Creative Head at Palam Silks.

These concept collections are available immediately for purchase at the Palam Silks stores in Chennai. Customers may also look through the collections on www.palamsilk.com and the Palam Silks apps on iOS and Android.
