The curtain-raiser to Mrs Chennai 2017 was held on 16th June, 2017 at Hotel Radisson Blu. Thirty talented finalists walked the ramp in their stunning designer wear. Trained and groomed by well-known choreographer Karun Raman, they set the stage on fire.
Mrs Chennai 2017 is a unique talent contest and a platform to showcase the personality, intelligence and skill of married women. The 16th edition of this long-running pageant has been organised this year by Adgear Media. Mrs. Chennai was organized by Virgo Events till last year on a different scale. This year Adgear Media with its wide reach and experience has taken it to a different plane altogether. The Grand Finale is on Saturday June 24th.
Registrations were started in April 2017 and attracted over two hundred contestants. They underwent many rounds of selection and the best thirty were short-listed.
This was a contest with a difference where women were tested on various aspects ranging from their cooking skills, fitness levels to their financial smartness and even their quick wit. The sub-rounds included Culinary Queen, Fitness Queen, Digital Diva, Mrs Wit & Wisdom, Smart Shopper and Talent Queen. Actress Sakshi Agarwal, Actress Jayshree Isvar and VJ Bhavana Balakrishnan were some of the eminent judges throughout the rounds. Thirty finalists have been selected for the finale.
The Grand Finale of Mrs Chennai 2017 will be held on 24th June, 2017 at Lady Andal’s Sir Mutha Venkatasubba Rao concert hall, Harrington Road Chennai. Here, the finalists will vie with each other for the glittering crown of Mrs Chennai 2017 whist enjoying the soul-quenching tunes of Playback Singer Karthik Srinivasan. Eminent judges such as Suhasini Manirathnam, Director K.S. Ravikumar and Ganesh Venkatraman will judge the participants. Each finalist is a winner in her own right and while the winner and runners-up get attractive prizes from different sponsors, the others will get gift hampers.
