One of India’s most luxurious beach side resorts, Intercontinental Mahabalipuram is making waves again with their newest offering; a beachside tiki bar called “KokoMmo”. Perched on the shore of Bay of Bengal, KokoMmo creates a Hawaiian vibe with a relaxed atmosphere that makes lounging a luxurious experience.
Named after the classic song by the beach boys “KokoMmo” and as the lyrics go “two lovers taking a trip to a relaxing place on a secluded island” KokoMmo stands for just that. Open for sunset cocktails and dinner, the tiki-bar is a mixology mecca with funky yet artisanal cocktails & spirits, sangria, world renowned Tamil Nadu Limited Beers & Wines and great vibes.
Keeping with the theme, Chef D Shack of KoKoMmo has curated a special menu that combines local and international cuisine to give it a global-local (Glocal) feel. From combinations of classic Tapas & tropical starters to beach classics like luxe grilled meats and coastal curries, KoKoMmo offers everything with a twist.

KoKoMmo has curated a whole host of events in the upcoming months, from engaging with Chennai’s best handicraft artisans, painters to hi-street lifestyle retailers. KoKoMmo will also host exclusive beach screening for the guests, the experience will include casual bean bag seating, with Match Screenings/ Movie Screenings with Bay of Bengal at the Backdrop.
KoKoMmo is open all week from 5:00pm to 11:30pm. KokoMmo is easily accessible through east coast road.
