Chennai Apparel Association launched FASHION SIXTEEN, the 16th Garment Fair on the 3rd of August Friday at GRT Hotel T Nagar Chennai.
Chief Guests Mr. Vishal Hasti Surana (Director of Arihant Retail Pvt Ltd), Mr. Sohail (Brand owner, Basic Life) and Mr. Jagdish Sarda (Brand Owner, Venfield) graced the event with their valuable presence. The event was addressed by members of the Board, Mr. Ravi Kumar (President CAA), Mr. Vasanth Kumar (Vice President), Mr. Padam Jain (Vice President), Mr. Ishwar Melwani (Secretary), Mr. Dilip Shah (Fair Chairman), Mr. Sandeep Jain (Committee Member).
Chennai Apparel Association will host FASH16N the Biggest Garment Fair of South India for the first time in Chennai starting from 8th to 10th of August 2018 at Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam. This mega event will be spread across an area of 125000 sq.ft. The Expo will feature more than 270 stalls and for the very first time earmarked 50,000 sq.ft. exclusively for women and kids. Top brands from all over the country will showcase their collections.
Sandeep Jain on behalf of Chennai Apparel Association & team will also feature a fashion show on the 9th of August 2018 showcasing the latest styles by Otto, Minister White, Ceremony, Zola & Rapphael Junior.
Around 3000-4000 retailers from the state of Tamilnadu, borders of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Karnataka are expected to visit the fair. A separate zone has also been created this time for around 4 brands, those who are looking out for franchisee partners across the state. CAA expects upto 500 Cr worth business to take place in these three days of the Garment Fair.
Approximate about 5000 retailers from apparel industry across tamilnadu and neighbouring states are expected to visit this fair. Entry to the fair is restricted to Retailers of Readymade Garments only.

About Chennai Apparel Association
There was always a longstanding need among the manufacturers, distributor and agents of Tamilnadu to come together and have a platform to address their need of mutual interest. This need gave birth to Chennai Apparel Association during june 2006 .Mr. Jagdish Sarda was our founder president when CAA started with 70 members and today we have about 400 members.
The objectives of our association are
1) To promote and safeguard the interest of the business of manufacturers, distributors and agents of garment industry in general and in particular the members of CAA
2) Represent the matters relating to trade with various bodies, state and central government, statutory and legal bodies, for the overall benefit of the members.
3) To raise funds for carrying on the above activities of the association
4) To frame such guidelines, rules and regulations for members to follow for the benefit of overall members
The first major activity CAA undertook was to conduct a fashion garment fair in Chennai, the response for which was overwhelming. since then CAA has conducted 15 successful garment fairs and with great happiness and pride we would like to inform you that CAA is conducting its 16th Garment fair on 8th to 10th August 2018 @ Chennai trade centre (Hall-1, 2 & 3) Nandambakkam, Chennai.
